Leonia NJ, This evening, the Bergen County community gathered at the 9/11 Monument in Overpeck County Park to hold a solemn remembrance ceremony. Twenty-four years after the tragic attacks, the event honored the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including 147 cherished residents of Bergen County.

Jersey City Brewery Releases Red Bandana Beer to Support 9/11 Families and Remember a True Hero

Ridgewood NJ, on the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Departed Soles Brewing Company in Jersey City has launched its annual Red Bandana American-style pilsner to honor Welles Crowther, the “Man in the Red Bandana,” who heroically saved at least 10 lives during the World Trade Center tragedy. This marks the fifth year the brewery has released this special beer, brewed in collaboration with Crowther’s family, with proceeds benefiting the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust and other 9/11 victim support initiatives. Discover how this heartfelt tribute keeps Crowther’s legacy alive and supports those affected by 9/11 here.

Ridgewood NJ, 9/11 remembrances were held across  Bergen county . The Village of Ridgewood lost 12 neighbors on that day and the Village of Ridgewood hosted a 9/11 remembrance to  remember and honor all those tragically lost on 9/11 at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square .

Village should not forget 9/11

to the Editor:

I was saddened that Ridgewood had no official recognition of one of the most tragic days in American history. We had 12 Ridgewood residents killed on that day: Sept. 11, 2001. Most towns in Bergen didn’t have as many, but they “remembered” with ceremonies.
