Displayed are many beautiful landscape, seascape, still life, floral and figurative drawings in oil, watercolor and pastel. Works are offered for sale and are framed, wired and ready to hang. Ridgewood NJ , Discover the beauty inside small! Curator, Lisa D’Amico is excited to announce the fourth installment of her now annual juried small works exhibition, this year at The Stable Gallery, 259 N. Maple Ave., Ridgewood, New Jersey. Inside Small will be on view from August 2 through August 29, 2019. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, August 8th from 7pm to 9pm.

All Spring students should bring their artwork and sculpture to your next class for the art show before 6/15. You can pick up your artwork after the show on Sunday 6/16 from 3 to 3:30 PM or Monday 6/17 from 5-8 pm.

Ridgewood NJ, Theresa Troise Heidel did a watercolor demonstration today, at the Ridgewood Art Institute following the Annual Members Meeting. Theresa is primarily a Plein Air Painter, but for this demo she worked from a photo and value sketches she had done on location. One of the most valuable perks of being an RAI Member, is what we can learn from each other as an Art Community.
Ridgewood NJ, Novus Atelier is a representational painting and drawing school established in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Our focus is on traditional drawing and painting skills, portfolio development and students who want to learn about representational art. We concentrate on working from life, which allows artists of all skill levels to grow and develop. Novus Atelier was founded in 2019 by artist and teacher, Eric Alexander Santoli. Mr. Santoli has been teaching drawing, painting, art history and college portfolio preparation to students at various schools, including Ridgewood High School, since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2014 .

Ridewood ARTBeat will be hosting a FREE! creative event organized by RHS students. This Sunday, 11-2pm, RHS campus center. It is a Van Gogh-themed afternoon in the Campus Center on March 31st! Enjoy the talents of RHS artists and musicians, savor a delicious crêpe (or two… or three), and contribute to our wall of stars, sunflowers, and swirls.

Ridgewood NJ, The Sponsor Show is the most popular annual event at the Ridgewood Art Institute, providing sponsors an opportunity to acquire a beautifully framed original painting, from the collection donated by our outstanding artists and instructors. In addition to wonderful landscapes and still lifes, several of our professional artists offer the chance to commission a portrait or pet painting. On the night of the Gala Drawing, the name of each sponsor is randomly called to choose their favorite painting. For only $275, become a sponsor and begin creating your painting “wish list” at our Opening Reception, or anytime during the exhibition dates. Proceeds from the show go directly toward the Institute’s efforts to promote fine arts in our community.

Art Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the quality of work available for sale at our many events and Artists can explore the options of starting a new class or medium.
