Perryville Station , It’s not every day that a highway patrol turns into a wildlife rescue mission, but for the New Jersey State Police, “expecting the unexpected” is just part of the job.
On the afternoon of April 1, 2026, troopers from the Troop “B” Perryville Station received a call that was certainly no April Fools’ prank. A tiny, lone bear cub had been spotted in a roadside ditch along the busy I-78 East near milepost 12.2 in Union Township.
