Paramus Fire Responds to School Bus Fire on 17 South

Paramus NJ, a fire inside of a mini school bus traveling on Route 17 southbound near Midland Avenue, Paramus was extinguished by firefighters from Paramus Fire  Companies #1 and #3 late Thursday afternoon, 11/19. Paramus Police and the Bergen County Hazmat Team also responded to the incident.  Fortunately there were no children on board when the fire broke out and the vehicle’s driver was uninjured.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Fire Department personnel and Bergen County HazMat team members at the scene of a fuel spill into the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook near Grove Street, Ridgewood on Tuesday afternoon, 04/10. The source of the spill, said to be between 1-2 gallons, was not located. A containment boom was placed across the Brook and absorbent pads were used to recover the errant material.
