Wood-Ridge NJ, From Wood-Ridge to the NHL: Stanley Cup Champion Visits Local Firehouse .There is nothing quite like a hometown hero returning to their roots. The Wood-Ridge Fire Department recently had the distinct honor of hosting Wood-Ridge native and NHL Stanley Cup Champion Bill Burniston at the local firehouse. Bill, who currently serves as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Carolina Hurricanes, took time out of his schedule to reconnect with the community and the department that has long been a second home to his family.
