Government should not interfere here and neither should a ghost organisation such as FSH. If you can’t afford to live in RW go live in Waldwick or some other area that suits you. I would love to live in Saddle River but can’t afford so I found a place I could afford in RW. This kind of policy is destroying all the nice and beautiful suburbs in NJ. I just can’t get why FSH has so much power and why residents have no say in this but are threatened into submission. The only mayors who are vocal about this craziness are Scotch Plains and Englewood Cliffs. These guys have balls and speak for their constituents. And yes all the new structures being built across the area are from the same exact set of drawings. They look like correction facilities.”
Ridgewood NJ, the Gap Inc. announced Thursday that it plans to shutter approximately 230 stores in the next two years. Last year, the San Francisco-based corporation had a total of 725 specialty stores (excluding those in China), and this week, the company revealed it saw a 5 percent decrease in the brand’s global sales, according to its 2018 earnings report.
Gap Inc. has yet to finalize its list of stores that will close. It appears that the Ridgewood Gap has made the list, the store appears to be holding final sales and ready for shuttering .
Lets face it the GAP has not been cool since 1980 and its non descript clothing is easy to buy on the internet. Given New Jersey aggressively anti business governor and legislator its easy to see how New Jersey may bear the brunt of GAP closings.

Ridgewood NJ, Two-Forty Associates LLC, the company behind the 43-unit Chestnut Village, under construction on Chestnut Street has filed suit against the village, alleging the municipality reneged on previously granted permission to provide special-needs housing, and instead changed its requirement to affordable units. Two-Forty Associates/Chestnut Village is owned by the Bolger family.

Trenton NJ, New Jersey’s minimum wage law takes effect on July 1, 2019, lifting the earnings of more than one million workers. The goal of the law is to achieve a $15 hourly minimum wage without adversely affecting small and seasonal businesses, so incremental rates were set to give certain employers additional time to comply.
Ridgewood NJ, PSE&G will be doing work to repair collapsing underground electrical vaults from Friday, June 28th through Wednesday, July 3rd. The work on June 28th, June 29th, and July 1st will be on East Ridgewood Avenue between Cottage Place and Walnut Street. The work will continue July 2nd through July 3rd on North Broad Street, between Franklin Avenue and East Ridgewood Avenue.
On East Ridgewood Avenue, vehicles will be allowed to travel towards North Maple Avenue (eastbound), but East Ridgewood Avenue will be closed to traffic going from Cottage Place, up to Walnut Street (westbound).
On North Broad Street, vehicles will be allowed to travel from Franklin Avenue to East Ridgewood Avenue (southbound), but North Broad Street will be closed to traffic going from East Ridgewood Avenue to Franklin Avenue (northbound) .
Police Officers will be directing traffic on cross streets, during these closures. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during these closures, and please consider using alternate routes.
