Englewood NJ, former New Jersey resident was sentenced today to 29 months in prison for his role in an investment scheme through which he fraudulently obtained more than $1.52 million from at least three families from 2017 through 2019, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.

Englewood Man Arrested in $1.5 Million Investment Fraud Scheme

Englewood NJ, A Bergen County, New Jersey, man was arrested today for his alleged role in an investment scheme that fraudulently obtained $1.525 million from at least three families from 2017 through 2019, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Matthew Benjamin, 53, of Englewood, New Jersey, is charged by complaint with two counts of wire fraud and one count of securities fraud. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance today by videoconference before U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor.
