SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. (AP) — The former women’s softball coach at a suburban New York Christian college charged with sexually harassing his players won’t have to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to seven misdemeanor counts of forcible touching, his attorney said Saturday.

But former Nyack College coach Kurt Ludwigsen still faces a civil lawsuit from three members of his team who say he at one point also invited them to get life coaching from an adult film star.

Ludwigsen will serve three years of probation and complete community service following his guilty plea earlier this month, attorney David Goldstein said.

Creepy softball coach tried to turn us into porn stars, players claim

The coach of the women’s softball team at a Christian college in Rockland County tried to turn his players into porn stars by offering to help them get jobs in the adult entertainment industry — and even invited well-known skin-flick actress Allie Haze to a practice so she could deliver “life counseling sessions,’’ bombshell lawsuits state.

Kurt Ludwigsen, 44, was arrested in April for improper sexual conduct with his Nyack College players. Lawsuits filed Friday by three of them charge he would routinely slap their butts, grab their breasts and make them sit on his lap.

“I am going to ear f–k you. This is your punishment. You are going to stand here and take it,” Ludwigsen told a pitcher after she lost a game in March 2015, according to her Manhattan federal court lawsuit. “Ludwigsen then began to lick [her] ear. When [she] tried to pull away, Ludwigsen held her tighter and said, ‘Stop moving. I told you that you are going to stand here and take it.’ ”

The suits also accuse Ludwigsen of “inviting Haze to practice and directing students to life counselling sessions with her.”

A judge on Wednesday denied a motion seeking the dismissal of nearly 200 criminal counts levied against Kurt Ludwigsen, the former Ridgewood resident accused of molesting seven of the college softball players he had coached.

Rockland County Prosecutor Richard Moran said the case against Ludwigsen, the 44-year-old former coach for Nyack College’s softball team, will proceed following Rockland County Supreme Court Judge William Kelly’s ruling Wednesday morning.

Moran said pre-trial motions must be submitted to the court ahead of Ludwigsen’s next hearing, which is scheduled for Nov. 4.

THE RECORD

SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. — A Ridgewood man and former Nyack College softball coach charged with more than 90 counts of harassment and forcible sexual touching returned to court Monday afternoon for a brief hearing.

Kurt Ludwigsen spoke not a word during his appearance before Judge Dennis Lynch in South Nyack’s courthouse.

Authorities in Nyack arrested Ludwigsen last month after several members of his softball team — between the ages of 18 and 23 — accused him of touching and kissing them inappropriately.

Ludwigsen’s wife, Ann, said in a statement released soon after his arrest that she was “shocked to learn of the charges filed” against her husband and “was wholly unaware of the circumstances surrounding the allegations and is learning the facts of this matter as they unfold.”

Ludwigsen has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

The judge set Aug. 3 as the date for Ludwigsen’s next court appearance.

Meanwhile, police in Petaluma, Calif., said they had conducted a brief criminal investigation into “loose” allegations made against Ludwigsen.

No charges were filed against Ludwigsen, said Petaluma police Lt. Dan Fish, who added that the “very non-specific” allegations were “4 years old” and “revolved around sports.”
