Midland Park NJ, Midland Park PD summoned the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad unit to investigate a suspicious backpack placed against a utility pole at the intersection of Lake Avenue and South Cottage Street late Wednesday afternoon, 04/11. Ridgewood PD assisted with traffic control while the package was examined. An “all clear” was given following X-ray evaluation of the backpack’s contents. No evacuations were ordered..
