Newark NJ, A heartwarming but urgent rescue mission is underway in Newark after a sharp-eyed transit worker saved a lost puppy from the tracks .
Around 8:00 AM, a Newark Light Rail operator spotted a stray pit bull puppy wandering near the Davenport Ave light rail station. Recognizing the immediate danger to the animal, the operator safely brought the pup on board the train, transported it to Newark Penn Station, and immediately contacted law enforcement.
