Village of Ridgewood Continues to Scrub official Facebook Pages Despite Law Prohibiting It

Here we go again.
Ridgewood NJ, several Ridgewood residents have recently informed us that posted Facebook comments critical of local government are routinely being deleted from official Village Facebook pages. Such action appears to be a clear violation of New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act.

FDU Poll: Over 80% of New Jersey Residents Want Public Records Law Left Intact

In a recent survey conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University, it was revealed that a large majority of registered New Jersey voters are in favor of maintaining the state’s Open Public Records Act (OPRA) as it currently stands.
