Sen. Bob Menendez, long viewed as the unofficial boss of the Democratic Party in Hudson County, has moved to Bergen County. The senator has had the good fortune , of beating the odds in many tight political squeezes, BetWinner Cameroon

Menendez first talked publicly about his move at a political fundraiser in Edgewater on Wednesday night, where he announced not only that he will BetWinner entrar , support Democrat James Tedesco’s campaign for Bergen County executive, he’ll also be voting for Tedesco in the November election.

“Yes that is correct. He lives in Paramus now,” said Steven Sandberg, a spokesman for Menendez.

Menendez, who is divorced, is engaged to marry Alicia Mucci, a widow who lives in Paramus. Sandberg declined to say whether Menendez and Mucci have moved in together.

Several Bergen County Democrats hope the move by Menendez, New Jersey’s senior senator, may help their prospects for maintaining control of the Bergen County Board of Freeholders and winning back the office of county executive from Republican Kathleen Donovan.

PARAMUS — Panicked shoppers ran screaming from the Westfield Garden State Plaza on Saturday night believing they heard gunshots, which law enforcement officials later said was actually “falling metal stanchions.” The stanchions were knocked down as people ran because of a car fire in the parking lot that caused the car’s tires to pop.

“No shots” were fired, Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said in an email at 11:55 p.m.

A large police presence had remained at the mall late into the night, many of them around the main entrance to Macy’s department store, as a Bergen County SWAT team and borough police searched inside stores to make sure that there hadn’t been a shooting.

Law-enforcement officials quickly determined that they didn’t need the same kind of police presence that they called on Nov. 4 when a man fired shots inside the mall before killing himself.

“It doesn’t appear to be a shooting,” Brian Higgins, chief of the Bergen County Police Department, said late Saturday, but he quickly added that authorities are taking every precaution to make sure that is the case. Instead, he said, the sounds of tires popping from the car fire, which occurred at about the same time as people called 911 about shots being fired, is “the best anyone can assume” about the cause of the panic.

As dawn emerged on Valentine’s Day, three figures approached a glass storefront of The Jewelry Center in Paramus, remained for a few seconds as if scoping out the store, then walked away in different directions.

Three minutes later, the back of a Ford pickup slammed through the doors and crashed into a jewelry counter. Then, two thieves quickly entered, hooked up a cable from the truck to a nearby safe and dragged it out of the store. A stolen backhoe was then used to load the safe into a getaway vehicle, police have said.

How one of the most brazen jewelry store heists in Paramus went down — a job that netted the thieves $250,000 worth of jewelry — was captured on high-definition black-and-white footage released by Paramus police on Tuesday. The revealing 15-minute silent video is expected to assist authorities in determining how the crime happened and who may have been involved. Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said he also hopes it will generate tips from the public.

The Valley Hospital is in negotiations to buy the site in Paramus that global parcel distributor UPS is vacating, several commercial real estate sources said Monday.

The Ridgewood-based hospital, which has been scouting for land in Bergen County to expand its services, is looking to purchase UPS’ data-processing and software development facility on Winters Avenue, sources said.

The parcel distribution company’s site is at 640, 650 and 670 Winters Ave., not far from Route 17. That location is near a 128,000-square-foot facility Valley Hospital already has in Paramus, the Robert and Audrey Luckow Pavilion at 1 Valley Health Plaza, behind the Fashion Center shopping mall.
