Glen Rock NJ, Saturday March 27th at 1:10 p.m.  Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Waldron Avenue. Upon arrival a Prospect Park woman recounted that she was driving south on Maple Avenue when the vehicle in front of her stopped short to yield for a bicyclist. The woman was unable to stop in time and struck the vehicle. The vehicle. described as a grey VW Atlas, fled the scene south on Maple Avenue.

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police reported  that on Thursday the 2oth of August at 7:03 PM a Glen Rock woman riding her bicycle along Harristown Road near Hamilton Avenue was struck by a vehicle making a sharp left turn onto Hamilton Avenue. The woman was not injured; however, the vehicle left the scene without stopping. According to witnesses the hit-and-run vehicle is described as a light blue or gray small SUV driven by a white female who appeared to be young with a female passenger. No license plate number could be provided. Any other witness who may be able to identify the vehicle involved is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.

Bicyclist Rushed to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood after Being Struck by Car in Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police and EMS personnel rushed to aid an adult male bicyclist who was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Well Drive on Friday afternoon, 08/04. The victim, who did not loose consciousness and sustained non life threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment. Police on the scene did not indicate whether any summonses were issued in connection with the incident.

Ridgewood NJ, A late afternoon Sunday, 09/04 bicyclist vs. pedestrian crash on the Saddle River Area Bike Path in Ridgewood sent the adult male cyclist involved in the collision on a short ambulance ride to The Valley Hospital with multiple injuries. Ridgewood PD and EMS responded along with a unit from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. The pedestrian involved in the crash refused transport to the hospital after being evaluated on the scene by Ridgewood EMS EMTs.

Hit and Run Accident involving bicyclist in Paramus

Paramus NJ, A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by a hit & run driver at approximately 9:20 PM on Sunday, 08/03 in front of 67 Paramus Road, Paramus.  The fleeing vehicle was described as a silver pick up truck, last seen on Paramus Road south heading towards Rochelle Park.  Paramus PD, EMS, and a paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital responded to assist the victim.  One lane of Paramus Road northbound and one lane of Paramus Road southbound remain closed near the accident scene while law enforcement officers conduct an investigation.  The victim was female.  She was riding with a male partner who was uninjured.  Both cyclists appeared to have been riding what is commonly referred to as “folding” bikes.  When police first arrived at the scene the victim was totally unresponsive.  She was responsive and alert at the time she was loaded into the ambulance.  Taken to HUMC.  The male cyclist was observed loading his bike into the trunk of a police car and then being driven away from the scene.  No lights were observed on either bike.

Bicyclist injured by hit-and-run driver, Paramus police say

PARAMUS — A bicyclist was injured by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night on Paramus Road, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately known, according to police.

He was reported at first to be unresponsive, but by the time the ambulance arrived he was responsive, police said.

Police said there were conflicting descriptions of the vehicle that hit the bicyclist shortly after 9 p.m. The matter remained under investigation.
