Frustrated by rising numbers of undocumented immigrants arriving at the southern border and a failure to get Congress to fully fund a U.S.-Mexico border wall, Trump taunted Democrats by dangling the possibility of an influx of illegal immigrants into their communities.
Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed legislation that will allow terminally ill New Jersey adults to end their lives peacefully, with dignity, and at their own discretion. The bill, which was sponsored by Assemblyman John Burzichelli and Senator Nick Scutari, makes New Jersey the eighth state to allow such end-of-life decisions with the assistance of medical professionals.
“Allowing residents with terminal illnesses to make end-of-life choices for themselves is the right thing to do,” said Governor Murphy. “By signing this bill today, we are providing terminally ill patients and their families with the humanity, dignity, and respect that they so richly deserve at the most difficult times any of us will face. I commend Assemblyman Burzichelli for steering us down this long, difficult road, and thank the Legislature for its courage in tackling this challenging issue.”
Ridgewood NJ, As Tax Day approaches, about eight in ten New Jerseyans feel they pay too much in taxes and are not happy with what the state government is doing about the affordability of living in the Garden State, according to the latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll, conducted in collaboration with the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA).
Eighty-two percent of residents think they pay too much in taxes for what they get, and large majorities believe the taxes they pay – namely, property taxes (79 percent), the 41.4 cent gas tax (77 percent), and the state income tax (62 percent) – are unfair. Only the sales tax sits well with residents, with over half (58 percent) saying the tax is reasonable.

NEWARK NJ, A Mexican national who was previously deported, with convictions for indecent assault of a minor and DUI, is among 123 foreign nationals taken into custody during a month-long operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New Jersey. The operation, which was spearheaded by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), targeted at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and other immigration violators who had prior arrests or convictions for DUI.
Of those arrested during the operation, 90 percent had prior criminal convictions and/or pending criminal charges.“The remarkable results of our officers and law enforcement partners highlight ICE’s ongoing commitment to public safety,” said John Tsoukaris, Field Office Director of ERO Newark. “This operation focuses on the arrest of individuals convicted of serious crimes and are a threat to public safety. Because of the targeted efforts of these professional and dedicated officers, there are 123 fewer criminals in our communities.”

While no doubt the Rise Up Ocean County (RUOC) has some controversial content the Attorney Generals Letter to Facebook relies on out of context remarks and clearly there are many Democrat groups in New Jersey promoting cop killers that have not illicit-ed a response from the state AG .

Ubaidullah Abdulrashid Radiowala, also known as Obed Radiowala, entered the U.S. illegally. ERO Newark arrested Radiowala on Sept. 20, 2017 in Iselin, New Jersey, and he was later ordered removed to India by an immigration judge. The Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) dismissed his appeal. He was held in detention by ERO Newark until his removal on April 1, 2019.“This individual’s long list of criminal charges in his home country, including attempted murder, show that he was a danger to the community here in the U.S.,” said John Tsoukaris, field office director, ERO Newark. “The courageous and targeted efforts of our officers show our ongoing commitment to public safety.”
Jersey City NJ, The suspect accused of killing a jogger in a Jersey City park is from Honduras and is illegally in the U.S . It is being reported that he has been deported twice before in 2003 and 2004, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.Jorge Rios, 33, was arrested and charged with her killing at Lincoln Park and is currently in the Hudson County jail and will face a judge Thursday.

Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that an Ocean County construction contractor pleaded guilty today to purposely not paying prevailing wages on a government contract valued over $75,000. As part of his criminal activity, the contractor falsified payroll records for the public contract to cover up the fact that he paid most of his employees only a fraction of the wages required under the Prevailing Wage Act, while not paying others at all. It is believed that many of the defendant’s employees were undocumented immigrants and he took advantage of their status.
