RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Local political tensions reached a boiling point last night as the Ridgewood Village Council voted 4-1 to formally accept $264,000 in private donations from local sports organizations.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Baseball and Softball opening day . Ridgewood Baseball and Softball’s 70th annual Opening Day Parade and Family Fun Day to kick off the start of the Ridgewood baseball and softball seasons at Vets Field on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9 AM to 1 PM.
More than 1200 athletes marched in the parade through town and join their families at VETS field for the Opening Day Family Fun Day Celebration. There are food trucks, inflatables, music, vendors, a Varsity
Baseball game, and several rec baseball and softball games. It is a great community event to kick off the start of the season .
