Ridgewood NJ, it was a beautiful Friday evening for the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual car show . The car show has become one of the big must go events for the Village over the last 27 years. Residents and visitors from all over Bergen County flooded the central business district , to what many auto enthusiasts call the best car show in the county . Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Car Show is September 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The show is held on East Ridgewood Avenue to Chestnut Street. This is one of the most popular car shows in northern New Jersey.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce and the Ridgewood Police Department along with the Ridgewood Fire Department and Ridgewood Emergency Services hosted a “Touch a Truck” event at two locations Van Nest Square Park and Wilsey Square. The family friendly event featured all the different Village vehicles and equipment from from 10:00 to 2:00.

Ridgewood NJ, December 3, 2021 – Downtown for the Holidays Ridgewood Christmas Tree lighting . Downtown for the Holidays Presents “Trucks on Holiday”– 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Sponsored by The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce –This year’s theme of “Trucks on Holiday” is for the young and young at heart! Village vehicles will be on display and decorated for the holidays, on both the east side and west side of the Central Business District. Take a stroll through the pedestrian tunnel at the train station, to easily enjoy all of the events. Gaze and take pictures at the beautiful lit trees (located at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and Broad Street, and at the train station parking lot). There will also be s’mores at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, music and merriment on the streets, see the “Grinch”, wave to Santa in his cart, and ride the trackless train. East Ridgewood Avenue will be closed down to vehicles from North Maple Avenue to Broad Street beginning at 4:30 p.m., which will create a pedestrian plaza. The west side parking area at Garber Square, will also be closed to vehicles. Enjoy our small businesses and eateries before, during or after this annual event.
Ridgewood NJ, Volunteer Program Feed the Frontlines and Helping Those in Need funded through the HealthBarn Foundation 501c3 by public donations in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic was awarded the 2021 NJ Governor’s Jefferson Medallion, known as the Nobel Peace Prize of Volunteerism, for outstanding community service as a volunteer group on September 12, 2021 at the Grounds for Sculpture, Trenton, NJ. There were 12 finalists for the Volunteer Program/Group category and Feed the Frontlines was selected to receive the prestigious Jefferson Medallion. Team members accepting the award for over 400 volunteers included Stacey Antine, MS, RDN, Founder, Director of the Foundation, Paul Vagianos, owner It’s Greek to Me and Bergen County Commissioner Tracy Zur who also spearheads the county’s Food Security Task Force. The Jefferson Awards, founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft, Jr., and Sam Beard, is America’s top honor for public service. For 46 years, the Jefferson Awards have honored a who’s who of American change makers and more than 50,000 community volunteers.

Ridgewood NJ, after successfully fulfilling its mission to deliver $1 million in economic relief to local restaurants and 100,000 hot and healthy meals to those facing food insecurity in Bergen County, the HealthBarn Foundation and its partners are committing to continuing the ‘Feed the Frontlines: Helping Those In Need’ initiative. The nonprofit is seeking a second grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s ‘Sustain and Serve’ program after state lawmakers approved $10 million in additional funding for the NJEDA’s effort last week. The legislation has Governor Murphy’s support and is expected to be signed into law later this month.

Parking rates were increased to close the funding gap and kiosks were added to better maximize parking revenue .
