  1. Let’s have one of our many landscape companies demonstrate to the businesses how to pull weeds in front of their properties! Also, the sanitation department can demonstrate how easy it would be for the retailers to pick up the garbage in front of their business on a daily basis. Come on, seriously does anyone from the guild, chamber or council get out of their cars and see how bad the downtown actually looks??? Basic housekeeping is NOT the responsibility of the town, if the business are really hurting they should be taking every step to improve their predicament. These steps don’t cost money, it would take less than ten minutes a day if done daily.

  2. They need litter patrol seven days a week. Just like parking enforcement seven days a week well that would help tremendously.

  3. There’s plenty of work for someone on weekends to make sure everything is nice and clean and proper. With all these extra people running through the CBD it’s causing a lot of litter and I cannot wait until Monday morning.

  4. If they’re going to have the CBD shut down every weekend through the summer they need to have the Street sweeper come in on weekends and sweep because it’s too much letter in the road.

  5. The cleanliness of the town falls under the town, not the chamber. It’s a DPW issue. Not the retailers responsibility. They pay enough rent to be in that town. Call the village clerk and complain

  6. Speaking of parking enforcement – there were 255 spaces for use in the garage yesterday…

  7. Re: Above comment that it is a DPW responsibility.
If that is so then the retailers, landlords and restaurant owners can tell that to their banks, their spouses and their families when their businesses fail.

Children complain “not my job”. Adults do what needs to be done and move on.
