Dramatic Crash Shuts Down Ridgewood Street: Driver Walks Away After Hitting Utility Pole

Ridgewood NJ, an early Monday afternoon crash in Ridgewood sent emergency responders to the 100 block of Ackerman Avenue, where a black four-door Hyundai sedan left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. The incident, which occurred on September 22, 2025, drew a quick and coordinated response from local first responders.

Ridgewood NJ, a white Audi SUV overturned in a rollover crash on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of East Glen Avenue and Fairfield Avenue in Ridgewood. Emergency crews from the Ridgewood Police Department and Ridgewood Fire Department/EMS quickly responded to the scene to provide assistance, control traffic, and address any potential hazards.

New career Ridgewood FD firefighters sworn in

Ridgewood NJ , Two (2) new career Ridgewood Fire Department firefighters were sworn in atWednesday evening’s public meeting of the Ridgewood Village Council.
The first was Anthony Dinice, son of Ridgewood PD Patrol Officer Paul Dinice and grandson of the late Anthony Dinice, who served as a Ridgewood PD Patrol Officer from 1956 until his retirement in 1981.
The second was Henry Van Wageningen III
, who served as a Ridgewood FD volunteer firefighter from 2010 until his appointment to the full-time career department. Henry’s father in law, James Bombace, was Chief of the Ridgewood Fire Department when he retired in 2010.
