Ridgewood, NJ – The Ridgewood Historical Society is celebrating a monumental achievement by one of its own! Genny Allard, Co-President of the Society, has brought home the gold, securing first place in her age group at the prestigious Gael Force Irish swimming competition in Ireland.

This is no ordinary race. The Gael Force events are a major series of open water races held in some of Ireland’s most stunning and challenging natural locations, including the iconic River Shannon and the dramatically beautiful Killary Fjord. The competition attracts experienced swimmers from around the world to test their endurance against the rugged Irish coastline.
