The Village Council has introduced a $250,000 bond ordinance as a down payment on the option to purchase the iconic 93-year-old theater at 190 E. Ridgewood Avenue, which closed in January 2024.

On July 18, 2025, at 10:47 AM, Hyslop took a 9-1-1 call reporting a 2-month-old infant choking and not breathing at a local shop on Chestnut Street in the Village of Ridgewood.
