RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A staple of the North Jersey dining scene has officially come to an end. Village Green in Ridgewood permanently closed its doors on June 6, 2026, leaving local foodies and loyal regulars devastated by the sudden departure.
According to a poignant statement posted on the official Village Green website, the closure stems from the recent sale of the building to a new landlord. Despite efforts to secure the restaurant’s future, ownership was ultimately unable to negotiate a sustainable new lease agreement, forcing them to shutter the property.
