Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood High School Chemistry/Physic Teacher Lillian Labowsky, the RHS InvenTeam, and their mentors co-authored a paper that was published in the ACS Journal of Chemical Education. The article highlights their Lemelson-MIT invention journey. Mr. Edwin Marreno, the Lemelson-MIT Officer, will visit the Applied Engineering Club this February.

Ridgewood High School Applied Engineering Club competed in the finals of the 2021 Virtual STEAM Tank Challenge

Ridgewood NJ, Seven teams from the RHS Applied Engineering Club recently competed in the finals of the 2021 Virtual STEAM Tank Challenge sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association and the U.S. Army. At the Virtual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, October 27, all seven teams were recognized for outstanding achievement with Solar Aqua Tech winning first place and a $2,500 prize in this prestigious competition.

Ridgewood High School Students Awarded a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Grant to Create a Solar Water Bottle

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood High School was recently awarded a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam grant in the amount of $8500.00 to create a “Solar Aqua Tech” portable reusable water-sanitizing bottle. Ridgewood High School is one of 13 high schools nationwide to be selected as an InvenTeam this year.
