In wishing all our Readers , Friends and Neighbors a very Happy Easter.
“This year Sunday, April 20 is not only the day that Christians and Roman Catholics celebrate Easter, it is also the day this year that Eastern Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter – We are aligned on this special day in 2014!
This wonderfully colorful and joyous Holy Day, as most of you know, celebrates the Resurrection of Christ to Heaven three days after His crucifixion on Good Friday.
Easter is a celebration of hope and optimism in ourselves and in the world around us. It re-awakens us to the possibility that good things are possible in life and that by working with others we can accomplish much good.
Easter also celebrates the rebirth of the natural world around us. Winter’s dark, icy grip has finally relented – at least a little- and given way to the colorful spring flowers and budding trees.
I hope that you enjoy the wonders of Easter and share the day with the people who matter most in your life — the people you love and the people you love being with. ” (Bergen County Executive Kathy Donovan)
