
Newark Man Indicted Following Federal Investigation Into Interstate Threats Targeting Jewish Organization

Newark NJ, A Essex County, New Jersey man has been formally indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly transmitting violent threats across state lines to a Jewish non-profit organization based in New York City.
Cameron Patterson, 34, of Newark, New Jersey, was indicted on May 18, 2026, on charges of transmitting interstate threats to injure another person. The announcement was made jointly by U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer and Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
