No injuries were reported after dump truck’s body dislodged and jammed into Overpass in Mahwah

Mahwah NJ, As per Mahwah Police Captain of Patrol – Executive Officer Stuart Blank, one (1) summons for Careless Driving was issued in connection with incident in which a dump truck’s body became dislodged from its chassis and smashed into the overpass of MacArthur Boulevard at Route 17 northbound in Mahwah.

No injuries were reported in the Tuesday afternoon, 08/06 mishap. Traffic on Route 17 northbound was restricted to one (1) lane while emergency responders and tow truck operators worked at the scene. Mahwah Police, Mahwah Fire Department, and NJDOT personnel responded to the crash site. Captain Blank did not indicate whether any other vehicles were damaged during or subsequent to the crash
