  1. Basic Constitutional Law.
Political sign ordinances CANNOT be more restrictive than ordinances restricting other signs.
So tell me, are garage sale signs, street fair signs, open house signs, save Graydon signs, children playing signs, etc. allowed on the planting strip between the curb and the sidewalk?

  2. No they are not allowed 10:13. Clearly covered in the Village Code.

  3. 10:26 that’s great news. So this November I expect strict enforcement of the sign ordinance.
Should cut down on the Tedesco for County Executive and Josh Gottheimer, for Congress signs that litter public property.

  4. Here’s the chapter & verse regarding garage sale signs:

163-6: Temporary signs are permitted only on the days of the sale and only on the premises on which the sale is to take place. No temporary signs are permitted on public property or within any public right-of-way or sidewalk. This requirement extends to trees, telephone poles and street or traffic signs. All temporary signs are to be removed simultaneously with the ending of the sale. No more than two signs advertising the garage sale shall be permitted on the premises, and no sign shall be more than four square feet in size.

  5. RT – all of the signs you mention must be placed on private property that do not contain any type of easement. The planting strip is an easement whereas your front lawn generally is not.

  6. hahahahaha Rurik Halaby, I just saw that your signs have been moved. You hate the blog but you read the blog. LONG LIVE THE BLOG

  7. No-one in the history of the world has ever been influenced to vote one way or another due to seeing a political sign.

The ONLY reason people put them up is to let neighbors know that this is how they vote.

  8. So who is going to stop this.who has the time.

  9. They are only allowed if they support corrupt subversives.
    … think wall.
    …think Ford dealership

  10. Political types insist that name recognition plays a big part in which button the voter is inclined to push. The signs help to build that recognition.

  11. Since we are on the political talk . We just seen talks about the mayor and council that they are not going to get any rebates to all the water customers. He was on one of the news reels online, don’t know if this is true, I don’t want to start any rumors I just don’t know if it’s true or not. It may be a miss print. Thank you

  12. Signs are good because so many people have NO idea what is going on and who the good guys are so my friends and acquaintances and neighbors know I care and am educated about town issues so when they see my signs they know who to vote for because they trust me and my opinion. A small way to let people know how the people involved are voting and not to make the mistake of voting for the friends of VOIGHT
