Non-essential Retail Begins to Open but Ridgewood Village Hall Remains Closed

Ridgewood NJ, Non-essential retail establishments may open their doors to allow the public inside beginning June 15. However, Ridgewood Village Hall remains closed to public access indefinitely.  What sense does this make, if any?  We  can buy a pair of sneakers, but I cannot go into Village Hall for essential services like engineering, health, building/zoning, and tax payments?

We are beginning to think that someone at Village Hall likes the fact that the public can’t come inside to see what’s going on.  This must come to an end immediately.  Require face coverings/masks, install plastic barriers at all service counters, insist upon appointments in certain offices, and allow the public inside now.

  1. This is the most ridiculous thing. These people should get back to work. Open the doors of Village Hall, Mr. Mayor

  4. People workers are working from home online. Who is complaining my fellow neighbors that wanna walk around Village Hall and be noisy. Please go for a walk and wash your hands.

  5. Why would @Heather Mailander want Village hall to remain closed? So she can continue to stay home and create failed policies…. all while collecting a cushy $200,000 salary! Nice “work” if you can get it!

In my next life, I want to be the “manager” of Ridgewood.

  7. Village Hall should be open. Enough of people working from home. Life has to get back to as close to normal as possible.
