Fairview NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANGEL CHAVIX (DOB: 01/01/1998; single; framer) of North Bergen, NJ on charges of sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief James Parker, and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief David Brennan.
On Friday, July 28, 2023, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Fairview Police Department revealed that ANGEL CHAVIX sexually assaulted a child who was under the age of 13 on one occasion in Fairview, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Friday, August 11, 2023, ANGEL CHAVIX was arrested in Fairview, NJ and charged with second-degree sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. CHAVIX was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
