Nutley NJ, A Nutley, NJ woman is facing serious legal consequences following an investigation into allegations of child endangerment and substance abuse during school hours. Jenna Junio, 41, was arrested by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office on charges that have sent shockwaves through the local community.
The Investigation: Abuse Reported to Special Victims Unit
The case began on March 11, 2026, when the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) received a report from the Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCP&P). The report flagged an incident involving the alleged abuse and neglect of minors.
According to authorities, the investigation focused on Junio’s conduct while she was acting in her professional capacity as a teacher.
The Charges: Narcotics and Child Neglect
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Chief Jeff Angermeyer, determined that Junio was allegedly under the influence of narcotics while performing her duties as a teacher. The investigation specifies that she was responsible for supervising minors under the age of 18 at the time of the incident.
