Ridgewood NJ, according the Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,over the last 24-hours, the Village of Ridgewood sought clarity on speculation that the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority released waste water into the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook during the January 9, 2024 flood event. In response, the utility has now confirmed that the NBCUA treatment facility did not spill or release any raw wastewater into the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook. I want to thank the NBCUA for their responsiveness today, so that the residents of Ridgewood, whether affected by flooding in their homes or at our school athletic facilities, can have some peace of mind in the aftermath of this flood event.
