Ridgewood NJ, The parish community at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, NJ, marked the end of an era as staff and parishioners gathered for a farewell pizza lunch to celebrate two pivotal leaders: Rev. Msgr. Ronald J. Rozniak (Father Ron) and Peter Denio, Pastoral Associate for Adult Faith Formation.
While the parish staff sent them off with warm wishes, laughter, and a well-earned sense of accomplishment, Fr. Ron officially steps into retirement from active ministry—joking that as of midnight, he can finally say, “Not my problem!”

Father Ron’s retirement marks the completion of 29 extraordinary years as pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Throughout nearly three decades of guidance, he steered the parish through community growth, changing times, and deep spiritual development.

2026 Seminary Recognition: In April 2026, Monsignor Rozniak received the prestigious Family of Nazareth Award from the Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary of Newark, honoring his 35 years of dedicated service on the seminary’s Pastoral Council.
Alongside Father Ron, Peter Denio also celebrated his final day, leaving behind a rich contribution to adult faith formation and parish programming.
