Ridgewood NJ, Today marks Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, a cultural and religious holiday celebrated every year on 17th March in Ireland and by Irish communities around the world. The celebration marks the anniversary of Saint Patrick’s death in the fifth century and represents the arrival of Christianity in the country. The Irish have observed this day as a holiday for over 1,000 years, and while the festival began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland, today it has become an international celebration of Irish culture.

Over the centuries, the mythology surround the life of Saint Patrick has become ever more ingrained in the Irish culture. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is credited with expelling all the snakes from Ireland, and today, not a single snake can be found there. But the true meaning of the casting away of all snakes runs much deeper.
Saint Patrick was born in Roman Britain in the 4th century AD, into a wealthy family. He was kidnapped by Irish raiders at the age of sixteen and taken as a slave to Gaelic Ireland. There he spent six years working as a shepherd and during this time he “found God”. Patrick escaped by sea .After making his way home, Patrick went on to become a priest.
According to tradition, Patrick returned to Ireland to convert the pagan Irish to Christianity. The Declaration, a Latin letter which is generally accepted to have been written by St Patrick, says that he spent many years preaching in the northern half of Ireland and converted “thousands”. Tradition holds that he died on 17 March and was buried at Downpatrick. Over the following centuries, many legends grew up around Patrick and he became Ireland’s foremost saint. While his true name was Maewyn Succat, he later became known as St Patrick, named after his place of burial.
The absence of snakes in Ireland gave rise to the legend that they had all been banished by St. Patrick chasing them into the sea after they attacked him during a 40-day fast he was undertaking on top of a hill. However, all evidence suggests that post-glacial Ireland never had snakes. Water has surrounded Ireland since the end of the last glacial period, preventing snakes from slithering over; before that, it was blanketed in ice and too chilly for the cold-blooded creatures. Scholars believe the snake story is an allegory for St Patrick’s eradication of pagan ideology.
The snake was the symbol of the Celts and their spiritual elite, the Druids – who inhabited the island of Ireland long before the arrival of Christianity in the 5th century AD. When Patrick arrived, the only “pesky and dangerous creatures” that St Patrick wished to cast away were the native Celts.
Since snakes often represent evil in literature, “when Patrick drives the snakes out of Ireland, it is symbolically saying he drove the old, evil, pagan ways out of Ireland [and] brought in a new age,” said classics professor Philip Freeman of Luther College in Iowa.
The questions remains will on this St Patrick’s day we finally have the strength to cast the snakes from Ridgewood ?

One form of Critical Theory is Critical Race Theory.
Critical Theory is insanely stupid and brutal, by design. Adherents/practitioners viciously “CRITICIZE” until those arrayed in favor of the usually innocent target of the criticism are run through with fear of personal destruction and flee to avoid the onslaught.
Critical Theory is the “theory” that wanton, heedless criticism alone can be sufficient, if delivered in sufficient quantity for a sufficient quantity of time, to cause the most innocent building blocks of something demonstrably beneficial to (wrongly) appear bad and in need of removal or change.
That is literally what Critical Theory is. It has exactly zero substance. No matter what word (such as “Race”) one puts between the two highfalutin’-soubding placeholder words “Critical” and “Theory”, it is still merely a tool of intellectual, organizational, and social devastation. Critical Theory adherents are nothing more than anarchists.
Ridgewood, we can not accept “Critical Theory” within our public school district. Critical Race Theory, for example, must be rejected by all. If found anywhere in any of our schools, it must be torn out, root and branch. This is not the sentiment of a Luddite but instead one of a Physician. Noone needs that kind of intellectual disease, that “snake” of intellectual corruption, anywhere near any of their children. St. Patrick, pray for us!

Considering the political history of the uberwoke superintendent we just hired, we will be busy most of a decade chopping off hydra heads and cauterizing flailing stumps in the crucial effort to purge Ridgewood of mind-numbing Critical Theory propaganda.
CRT/Implicit Bias are two theories which teach that White people are racist by the actuality of having White skin.
This is by is by definition racist.

A salary pays for the occupant’s SKILLS – not the person. Are you telling me that her SKILLS are worth more than $200k per year? Not even close!
She didn’t even send an e-mail notifying residents (the very people who PAY that salary) of changes in sanitation schedules when the snowstorm hit!
Given her SKILLS (or lack thereof), she’s worth about $75,000-100,000 per year, and that’s on the high side.
Oh, and we’re forgetting the perpetual liability called her PENSION! So, Ridgewood is actually on the hook for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS for this woman to occupy that role (depending, of course, on her life expectancy).
Funny all the supply of housing available in Ridgewood compared to the scarcity elsewhere in the state. People can read the tea leaves and want out or do not want to come. Only certain ideologies welcomed.

It is called accountability, not whining. If you let the bad actors get away with the irresponsible spending of everyone’s tax dollars, then you are just as bad as they are. Money should not be spent on special interests like the CBD and sports only. Public safety is more important and always will be.
Maybe relaxes them, remember, it’s freedom of speech. Let people talk in the vent. Because they can’t talk in the vent at the council meeting they only have three minutes, and they can’t talk vent. What’s on their mind at the Ridgewood news because that’s all controlled isn’t it. Just like at the port of education meeting, you don’t have a right to vote anymore isn’t that wonderful. So what a nice sunny Sunday people take a few moments just to vent and then they can breathe and they feel better, maybe it helps.
