Nine Offenders Apprehended
As a result of the operation, nine non-compliant sex offenders were tracked down and arrested across New Jersey and New York, reinforcing the state’s unwavering stance on Megan’s Law enforcement.
Protecting Communities & Honoring Megan Kanka
Operation White Butterfly represents more than just arrests. It is a proactive safeguard for vulnerable populations and a way to uphold the legacy of Megan Kanka, whose tragic case led to the landmark legislation requiring sex offender registration.
Authorities emphasized that these operations send a clear message:
👉 Failure to comply with Megan’s Law will not be tolerated.
👉 Those who try to evade accountability will be found and brought to justice.
Commitment to Public Safety
By combining strategic enforcement with interagency collaboration, Operation White Butterfly highlights the State Police’s ongoing mission to keep communities safe and ensure offenders remain in compliance with the law.
