Oradell NJ,  according to the Building owner Tom Didio, a longtime resident of the borough and husband of Mayor Dianne Didio, plans to build apartments in Oradells downtown are being put on hold in light of the discovery that a century-old building is just too old to allow for the improvements the owner envisioned. The project would have been built at 387-393 Kinderkamack Road, the 1927 Hinck building in the heart of the downtown that once housed Panico Salon and Spa.

Didio will focus on another project in town , which was approved by the Oradell zoning board last year for a 20-unit, age-restricted housing on 505 Kinderkamack Road,on the site of a former AAA building. Didio told North Jersey Media , framing for the 505 Kinderkamack Road building will start going up in the next three to four weeks and he anticipates the building will be finished by the end of this year. The project, which will provide housing to residents age 62 or older, will add “a lot of value” to the area, he said.
