Ridgewood NJ, a passionate team of volunteers has launched Outside AIR (Art Initiative Ridgewood)—a creative movement dedicated to enhancing public spaces, celebrating Ridgewood’s rich history, and fostering community pride. Their mission? To revitalize the Central Business District through vibrant and meaningful public art.

First Project: A Bold New Mural

The initiative’s first project is an exciting mural installation under the train trestle. This bold, colorful artwork will serve as a striking visual landmark, adding character and energy to the heart of Ridgewood. Thanks to the generous support of Rossi Paint Stores, all paint and supplies have been donated, bringing the vision one step closer to reality.

Calling All Artists & Volunteers!

Now, the team is looking for creative and enthusiastic community members to join the design process and help bring the mural to life. If you have artistic skills or simply want to be part of this inspiring transformation, sign up to volunteer today!

Be part of a movement that blends history, creativity, and community spirit—one brushstroke at a time.

  1. At this point might as well add graffiti to make it more urban.

  2. what’s with the “RUTS”

  3. Graffiti would be a great idea. It will bring a sense of inclusivity to underserved minorities. Same would be for painting all CBD streets with rainbow colors and photos of our hero G Floyd. Please VC make it happen.

  4. Title the murals “North Paterson”.

  5. Sickening at what the village has become over the years. Ridgewood as we knew it, is long gone.

  6. How about more kitschy statues of children and mailmen? Hideous.
