Ridgewood Water’s PFAS Treatment Upgrade: Massive Carbon Vessels Delivered, $1M in State Funding Secured

Ridgewood, NJ – Ridgewood Water has taken a major step forward in its $150 million system-wide PFAS mitigation project, with the recent delivery of four enormous Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) vessels—the second-largest size manufactured by Calgon Carbon Corp.—to the Wortendyke PFAS Treatment Facility in Midland Park. The facility remains on schedule to begin operations by December 2026.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Two serious T-bone motor vehicle crashes occurred within just one hour and less than half a mile apart in Fair Lawn on Friday evening, August 8, leaving six people injured, including a young child. Authorities say at least five of the victims were hospitalized, with some requiring emergency extrication using the Jaws of Life.
