Ridgewood NJ, yep. a taxpayer’s simple question about the distance between planned restroom facilities and the nearest single-family homes near Schedler Park was met with that sarcastic, arrogant, rude, and uncalled for response from Ridgewood Councilperson Siobhan Winograd. It happened during Wednesday night’s Village Council Work Session.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Village Manager Keith Kazmark  offered a  BIG “THANK YOU” in a Facebook post to our LD 40 representatives, Republicans Senator Kristin Corrado, Assemblyman Chris DePhillips, and Assemblyman Al Barlas for their support in securing the $147,000 NJ Department of Transportation grant for the new bus shelter at Van Neste Square! The first discussion of this project occurred with the NJ DOT Commissioner in their District Office over a year ago and the funds are now in place to cover the cost. Also pictured Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos, Deputy Mayor Pamela R. Perron, Councilmembers Siobhan Winograd  and Frank Mortimer with Village Manager Keith Kazmark. Karmark said , “A great example of working together!”

Kennedy Jr. has officially canceled nearly $500 million in federal funding previously allocated for 22 projects focused on advancing mRNA vaccine technology. The funding will now be redirected to support the development of traditional, whole-cell vaccines, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) confirmed Tuesday.

Did You Feel It Again? Second Earthquake Shakes Bergen County in Just Three Days

Hillsdale NJ, for the second time in less than a week, northern New Jersey residents felt the ground rumble — and social media once again lit up with the question: “Was that another earthquake?”

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed a magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck at 12:11 p.m. on Tuesday, with its epicenter located just southwest of Hillsdale in Bergen County. The quake originated approximately 3–6 miles underground, shallow enough to be felt across nearby towns and even parts of New York City.
