Palisades Park NJ, late on October 28, 2024, Palisades Park Police responded to an alarming call regarding a burglary in progress. Captain James Rotundo reported that at around 8:21 p.m., officers arrived at the scene to discover the home’s rear kitchen sliding door had been shattered by a flowerpot, providing the intruder a point of entry.
According to the homeowner, who had been sleeping when the break-in occurred, the intruder made their way upstairs. The homeowner awoke and went to the staircase, where she saw the intruder. Upon seeing her, the intruder immediately fled the scene. The suspect is described as being approximately 5’6″ and wearing a flashlight on their forehead.
The Bergen County Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) was on-site to process evidence, and Palisades Park detectives have launched a thorough investigation. The case remains active, and updates will be provided as new information is uncovered.
