Pallisades Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of CHRISTOPHER SAMBOGNA (DOB: 10/23/1969; single; Sergeant in the Palisades Park Police Department) on a charge of Theft. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Palisades Park Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Anthony Muccio.

The Palisades Park Police Department received a complaint from a borough resident alleging that Sergeant CHRISTOPHER SAMBOGNA had stolen $10,000 from the resident. Palisades Park Police then contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit regarding the complaint.

As a result of the subsequent investigation, on August 12, 2020, CHRISTOPHER SAMBOGNA was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Or Disposition, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3(a), a 3rd degree crime. He was also suspended from his duties as a police officer. SAMBOGNA is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.

Prosecutor Musella states that this charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would also like to thank the Palisades Park Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.

  1. Watch the local PBA protect him!

  2. Sa big a looks deeply jaundiced in his photo. Is he sick?

  3. The accusations aren’t true moving that the facts of the case is a miscommunication going on. After it’s proven all the taxpayers I was so eager to see him arrested are going to realize they can have to pay him back pay.

  4. He’s got a nice tan.

  5. Makes over $100k and allegedly stole 10k from a neighbor? Something doesn’t sound right.

  6. Looks like a druggie

  7. Making a comparison between the man’s salary and his alleged amount stolen and then making a “doesn’t sound right” conclusion is absurd. Many people have stolen a lot less while making a whole lot more.

  8. Like Tommy “quarters boy” Rica
