Ridgewood NJ, many parents are concerned about the books provided to children in schools and libraries, especially those promoting “woke” progressive beliefs about sexuality and racial issues.
A new national telephone and online survey by children’s book publisher Heroes of Liberty and Rasmussen Reports finds that 52% of moderate and conservative parents and grandparents are afraid of their child or grandchild being exposed to inappropriate material in public school this year.Thirty-six percent (36%) are not. Fifty-two percent (52%) don’t think children should be exposed to Critical Race Theory (CRT) in school before age 16, including 42% who don’t think children should be exposed to CRT at all. Similarly, 58% don’t think children should be exposed to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) lifestyles before age 16, including 28% who don’t think children should be exposed to LGBT lifestyles at all.
Fifty-eight percent (58%) want children’s books to reflect more conservative values and two-thirds (67%) of the parents and grandparents said they would want to read books before allowing their children or grandchildren to read them.
You could get rid of these books and you would still have the problem because what they are actually employing is Critical Race Applied Principles. These are subtle messages in everything from math word problems to art projects. CRAP is Marxism. The schools are the front line of the American cultural revolution.

School brainwashing of kids with any form of CRT is not well received by parents. That’s why parents are speaking up vigorously at BOE meetings and rightfully so. Teaching kids that white kids are the oppressors and black kids are the oppressed is about as close to Marxism as can be and we are not a Marxist country.
Demand resignations from BOE members who are board with any form of CRT.
Some Ridgewood parents welcome Marxist brainwashing. I’m not sure if they do it because it messes up other parents’ kids (less competition for theirs) or they just believe in Woke gods (feminism, environmentalism). But the result is the same: they provide that necessary cover for woke faculty to perform indoctrination.
correct … a lot of Ridgewood parents are morons who support CRT because it “sounds good” and they are too lazy to get the actual details and see how harmful it is to THEIR OWN children.
What’s really appalling is that these wokes or marxist or liberal or whatever parents do not even TRY TO THINK. All they care about is being liked by others and that’s why they tend to be in same line of thinking. They embrace the mainstream media because that’s where their idols are. This is how they feel that they matter, that they are relevant. The only danger they see is not being liked or falling behind. They have tremendous emotional problems, it’s like a widespread mental disease. They don’t bother to hear both sides of an argument and are very aggressive in defending their “point of view”, I mean look at how many of them booted their friends or family members who supported Trump. These people are more hardcore than real marxists and I know about them because I grew up in a communist country. They have a blind faith in their preferred politicians and see them as perfect as long as these politicians inflict harm to the other side (even though it hurts them the same). It’s the same group who is rushing to jab their 5 year olds when there is not a single shred of evidence that this group is seriously harmed by Covid. This is tragic for this country.
Woke books? Rdwd schools should drop reading and math tests since those are racist. The board should also replace white and make faculty with diverse (i.e. colored) staff. Finally, all kids should be vaccinated against Covid and receive boosters at minimum every 6 months.
