Park Ridge NJ, on Thursday February 3rd, Park Ridge Police Department was dispatched to Our Lady of Mercy Academy for an activated “Lockdown” alert. Upon arrival, officers were advised that they were not conducting a drill and not sure of why it went off. Our officers conducted a preliminary sweep, while awaiting the arrival of outside resources. After a little over an hour and a half, officers were able to clear the entire school while keeping the children’s safety and security our #1 priority. The children and staff of Our Lady of Mercy Academy did a fantastic job that day as well as our assisting officers.
The Park Ridge Police Department thanked the Our Lady of Mercy Academy staff and students for your kind words and awesome cards and notes!
