Park Ridgewood NJ, the borough suffered a major water main break Sunday morning on Mill Road affecting service to the borough’s west side, but was fully restored by the afternoon.
Mayor Keith Misciagna told North Jersey Media that the break occurred between 9:30 and 10 a.m. He said the workers from the Park Ridge Water & Sewer Department and the Department of Public Works and police were on hand while repairs were being done.
“Within 25 minutes, we had the large majority of the affected people with service back up and running,” Misciagna said. “But those they weren’t … by 3:15 they were up and running.”
The freezing cold weather took the blame .It goes without saying that freezing temperatures increase the chances of a water service or main break with each degree.
