Clifton NJ, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train Wednesday morning in Passaic County, according to NJ Transit officials .
The Suffern bound NJ Transit Main Line train 1113, departed Hoboken at 11:45 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Suffern at 12:56 p.m. It struck and fatally injured an adult male at Clifton Station at around 12:17 p.m.
There were no reported injuries to the approximately 50 passengers or crew on board, said a NJ Transit the spokesperson.
Train traffic was temporarily halted mid-day . NJ Transit Police are investigating the incident.
