Good thing he went to Hackensack University Medical Center, they serve the community unlike Valley… who probably would have charged him bus fare and then sued him for failing to approve their fare increase.
Fantasic teamwork by FD, PD, and ES.
PD captain was observed on scene comforting victim’s wife, ES director was on ground comforting victim while holding his head, FD chief arrived from home to take command, and Village Manager was there thanking all responders personally.
Great job, great Village!
Comment by #1 is totally unnesscessary, try staying with the story. Was the bus driver given a summons? You never see a NJTbus pulled over for anything in Ridgewood many of them are over the speed limit, run lights and stop signs yet no tickets.
Praying for the man, this must have been a horrifying experience. Let’s all hope he is ok.
Off topic as usual.
Looked like pedestrian was crossing in crosswalk with light when bus turning left hit him. Vehicles turning left are one of the biggest hazards for pedestrians as they are only looking to see if there is oncoming traffic.
He was transported to the nearest trauma center which is Hackensack hospital . Valley wouldnt necessarily have appropriate staff in house to treat him and every hospital doesnt need to be prepared to treat trauma victims. The first commentor is only displaying their ignorance.
Traffic accident injuries, got shot, then Hackensack’s your place. Hoever, keep your eye on your belongings in the waiting room.
Having baby, need a heart bypass, then Valley is the place. A pianist will help you feel calm while you wait.
Were they going to or from East Coast Burger, which should never have gotten permission to open on that corner?
The Village should have spent the money it wasted on the Garber Square debacle instead on that two block, Oak to Chestnut, stretch of Franklin Avenue.
It is dangerous place to cross…
You’re a real dope.
When it was a Chevron station it used to generate a lot more traffic than it does as a burger joint.
Of course you don’t remember that since you were still living in Manhattan at that time.
Does anyone have any update on the man? Just horrible.
Right on #10
