Ridgewood NJ  Earlier today a  man was struck while crossing Lincoln Avenue at Bellair Road . The 72-year-old man is being  treated at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for head trauma and possible internal injuries, according to Ridgewood Police. ( )

The Rigewood Police temporarily closed Lincoln Avenue at Bellair Rd. following the accident . Detective Lt. Forest Lyons of the Ridgewood police said the victim was staying with family in Ridgewood.

The driver a 17-year-old resident of  from Washington Township was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The man was struck by the car as it headed southbound on Lincoln. Detective Lyons told the Bergen Record that the male driver was licensed and excessive speed does not appear to be a factor. The driver was not injured, but the car suffered damage to the roof and passenger-side windshield. ( )

An accident unit from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office assisted the Ridgewood Police on the scene. Sorry folks at this time no photos from Boyd Loving

  1. No photo’s from Boyd??? I can’t believe it! Scannner must be broken

  2. Boyd are you ok ? Very unusual behaviour!

  3. So does this guy Boyd sit around all day listening to the scanner then jump out the door with his camera when something interesting happens in Ridgewood? I guess someone has to do it. Can’t make for very many busy days, I’d bet.

  4. Thats what he does consistently show up at all accidents fire response takes pictures like jimmy olsen of the daily planet only there is no miss lane or superman with him.

  5. Well then I hope never to be the subject of his work.
