Jersey City NJ, tragedy unfolded at Journal Square Station in Jersey City as a person was fatally struck by a PATH train on Monday morning, as reported by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The individual’s identity remains undisclosed.

According to authorities, an unauthorized person was hit by a westbound train shortly after midnight. The Jersey City Fire Department and various emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, where an ongoing investigation is in progress.

Following the incident, power to the track area at the station was promptly cut off. Train services resumed around 3 a.m.
