Wallington NJ, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco great progress is being made on our ongoing sports courts renovations at Samuel Nelkin County Park in Wallington. This Fall, we are looking forward to new basketball and tennis courts, as well as the addition of pickleball (the world’s fastest-growing sport!) to this south-Bergen gem!
Samuel Nelkin County Park is tucked against a hillside in Wallington, the 17 acres provide a variety of activities for visitors, including a large playground, dog park, and tennis courts.

Pickleball destroys home values. It needs to be an indoor sport in dense urban areas!
No pic of Jim Tedesco..?
Did he miss out on another photo opportunity ?
The county is doing a great job with rebuilding, repairing, building new facilities. But who’s maintaining Oakland of this.
The renovated courts are apparently done and ready to be played on and yet they are padlocked with a sign hanging on the fence, “Closed till further notice”.
What’s the hold up??
