  1. RHS parking lot is packed.

  2. My wife is there and said she wishes more people were there, so I guess not busy enough!

Wish someone could live blog the meeting…so far I’ve heard that costs to the town are not known nor are any revenues this would bring to the town… Costs to the town were deemed “not important” and “there is no way to know” what they will be so not a factor in zoning considerations…

    I feel sick.

  3. When did the meeting get over?

  4. I left at 10:20 p.m. and a few residents were still lined up to speak. Blais made a comment earlier in the meeting in response to a resident asking whether the “will of the people” would be heard. Blais responded that he would listen to the will of the people if it were based on proper planning, not poor planning…

Yet still no objective, comprehensive study has been presented to the residents to give us the big picture…

Blais said the proposed development did not include any provision for adding open space…and acknowledged Ridgewood has a deficit of open space now..

We did hear that the village council, not the planning board, has the authority to issue a referendum on the issue…

  5. “We did hear that the village council, not the planning board, has the authority to issue a referendum on the issue…” Why wood they. The THREE AMIGOS are on board with the builders lead by BIG AL THE DEVELOPERS FRIEND.

  6. The council can issue a non-binding referendum to get a sense of whether residents like the idea or not (this is what Upper Saddle River just did, when it was voted down 11-1).

There is also a way for residents to petition for a referendum vote of the ordinance that made this whole process possible, 3066.

What I would love to know is a way to petition to get Blais fired. He was almost incoherent last night, answering few questions, and admitting that no independent studies were done (all studies on impact were paid for by builders). We have no sense of the financial burden to the town nor is it relevant in his opinion. Traffic, number of new school children are also not a problem…well, because the builders say so.

  7. #5, If we are so convinced he is the problem then let’s recall him. You get 160 days to gather signatures equal to 25% of the registered voters of the district…we could do all three but start with one and I’d think the other two would slink back.

I truly believe the residents need to take back control because the future of Ridgewood hangs in the balance.

  8. I don’t think anyone has the stomach for a recall. Just remember what has been going on with these three and vote according in2016.

  9. Vote for Paul, Albert and Gynn for 2016. Help then finish what they started
