Hi James,
This is Cristopher Kaufman and I’m running for a seat on the board of education. I wanted to reach out and send you statement that I was hoping to get on your blog.
To my fellow Ridgewood residents,
I value the Ridgewood Public School district and recognize the importance of delivering top notch educational opportunities to each and every student. If elected to the Board of Education, I plan on making the following my key priorities:
Safety: I want to make sure our schools are safe and free from bullying while delivering the highest level of education.
Quality: I will work with educators to continue the standard of excellence we strive for in Ridgewood and look to get back our top rankings of previous years.
Efficiency: We need responsible spending while prioritizing projects for the most efficient use of our tax dollars.
Transparency and Accountability: We need better communication with our residents to make sure our taxpayers understand how and why decisions are made.
Community: I want our community to come together with a shared purpose that includes bringing back the vote. We don’t always have to agree with each other but that doesn’t mean we can’t be open and civil to those with different ideas.
If elected, I will work hard to deliver these goals. We need a new voice on the board and we need it now.
