Alpine NJ, Police in North Jersey say the body of a missing 52-year-old male from Demarest may have been found in Alpine.
On July 20th 16:36 as part of the East Bergen Rappel Team 10 members of the Closter Ambulance & Rescue Corp responded to Stateline Lookout to assist in the search for a missing / potentially injured hiker. After 2 hours of searching with negative results the call was terminated.
Palisades Interstate Parkway Police received a call Tuesday around 6:33 p.m. for a deceased male located near the base of the cliff in the area of State Line Lookout, Alpine. The Palisade Parkway Police responded, along with the East Bergen Rappel Team, Closter Rescue Squad and Bergen County Sheriff BCI. Officials say the male is currently unidentified but is believed to be a 52-year-old male from Demarest, who went missing at the location on July 20.
The male was removed by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
I believe I knew this man, if his initials were M.K., he worked for me and we were surprised not to hear from him, but were not sure whether he was on holiday.
