RIDGEWOOD — Police are investigating two separate luring incidents reported recently near the George Washington Middle School.

The first was reported Oct. 25 by two female students who were approached on Godwin Avenue just before 5 p.m.

A blue vehicle — described as an older-model, four-door sedan with rust on the exterior and black tape on the seats — pulled up behind the girls. The driver, said to be in his 60s or 70s, called out to them through the passenger window, offering a ride.

The girls took off running through a nearby yard, and the car fled.

The students described the man as wearing thick gold-rimmed glasses with large frames and having a short scruffy beard. He was balding with gray hair.

Then on Friday, at around 3:15 p.m., a student was walking home from school on North Monroe Street when she was approached by an unknown male.
